Technology Integration Plans
My ‘Technology Integration Plans’ are meant to guide me in the incorporation of technology into my lesson plans as well as give me practice and reference for my future in teaching. I learned how technology can be used to make lessons more engaging and allow the teacher to make accommodations that address varying learning styles and needs. The two assignments on this page include ‘My Lesson Plans’ and ‘My Narrated PowerPoint.’
Unit 2:
TIP #1 - My Lesson Plans
This assignment is great practice for when I have to plan my lessons when I am a teacher. It provides insight into what it takes to be a well-prepared teacher who uses a variety of instructional strategies and all the different elements that go along with it. Planning is an essential part of the teaching process; it identifies objectives, then outlines the teaching and learning strategies the teacher and students will use to present the lesson and learn the content, respectively. Lesson plans provide a ‘road map’ the teacher and students will follow during their ‘journey’ through the learning process. It incorporates a variety of strategies and considerations, including special learning needs and accommodations as well as technology-based resources that enrich learning experiences.
Unit 4:
TIP #2 - Narrated Power Point
This assignment summarizes what I have learned from this course as well as different aspects of myself and who I want to be as an educator in the future. The ‘Narrated PowerPoint’ is a new technology that I have never used before, so by completing this assignment I have gained knowledge of a potential new tool I can use as a teaching strategy in the future. This is also a great reference point for me to look back upon after I learn even more about being a teacher as I gain more field experience.
